Northside ISD school board and superintendent have chosen to open schools despite the growing concern of children becoming infected with COVID-19. This is even after Gov. Abbott has granted an 8 week delay to reopening schools to help prevent the spread of the virus!
Sign this petition to let the school board and superintendent know that your childrens' health and lives matter!
The Northside ISD school board tried to ignore us but this surge of support makes it impossible for them to look away. They are gambling with our health and we are finally forcing them to face the consequences of their cowardice.

What happened to vaccines being required before children can be enrolled in school? COVID19 should not be any different.

Keep teachers, staff, and children safe by continuing to utilize distance learning. Children can easily spread Covid even while showing little symptoms themselves. Please consider how this will affect the staff and teachers. All I’m asking is that you CARE about the teachers and staff. I hope that isn’t too difficult a thing for you to do.

I resigned my position because I do not believe that there is a way to be on campus right now AND stay away from Covid. We must protect ourselves, our families, and our students.

Keep everyone safe. Also, will it be teacher workload be fair? A possible scenario, One teacher with 6 students face to face while the neighboring teacher has a class increase of 22 to 30 or 40 to teach virtually?

I am an educator at Northside, and I want to keep our children, teachers and staff safe and not to return until the numbers have decreased to healthy levels.

Keep teachers distance teaching from home until our Covid numbers are less than 3% positivity and until true safety measures such as testing, contact tracing, reliable hepa air filtration filters and N95 masks are provided for all are in place.
