Closures and Mergers are on the cards for High School based 6th Form classes in South Wales.
We have been told that our children will have to travel to a " Designated " site to carry on their studies to 'A' Level standard.
WHY oh WHY do the Governmant have to change something that is working well and HAS worked well for many years.
All of my three children have attended Bryn Cellynog school and I am saddened that my youngest will not be able to carry on his education to 6th form level there.
If you feel as strongly as I do that the 6th Form Classes should be kept in our local schools please sign this petition and pass on the link to others
The emails I receive from parents who are terrified about these travel plans are keeping me up at night. I am still trying to force a conversation with the local council but their doors remain firmly shut for now.

Reaching this level of support has been exhausting yet it proves that I am not fighting this alone. It feels like we are finally being seen even if the road ahead looks very long and difficult.

So much for caring about our kids education. Just a cost cutting exercise that hurts the children.

Keep it local! These schools have the history and the results to prove it works perfectly fine.

Ridiculous idea. They want us to travel halfway across the county just to sit in a classroom. Leave the 6th forms alone.

My son is starting year 10 soon and this is just another way to make life harder for rural families. Travel times are already bad enough.
