Mrs. Smith, the Pre-K(B) educator at SST-The Woodlands was suddenly shocked from an intense e-mail that she received on yesterday, January 11,2023. The context of the email suggested she needed to resign or SST-The Woodlands would be firing her due to medical issues. It is frankly absurd to pull a teacher from her class and instruction with Pre-K students who have created a bond with such a great educator, if she is physically and mentally capable of doing her job. Given that in this time, having an effective educator in the classroom is few and far between. Also, with a teacher shortage, why would a district force resign an educator in the middle of the year? At the very least, SST- The Woodlands should allow Mrs. Abby Smith to complete the year with the students on agreeable guidelines to employment.
In addition, there has been NO communication to parents about this change from school administration, NOR the school district- This makes for a very unprofessional disposition.

This is soooo upsetting and saddened. It was very hurtful to all of a sudden received an email telling me that my child favorite person will no longer be there to be her favorite. And to think that I have to be the one to share these bad news to my child is very much hard and heartbreaking. Ms. Smith has and still doing an amazing job with our little ones. She have showed Ta’Laya so much love and affection. I am wholeheartedly asking can you guys please allow our kids to at least complete the year out with our babies. Please!
Mrs. Smith is a huge part of my son's life, not only as an educator but as a caretaker as well. He has learned so much from her and would be deeply affected if she has to resign.
She is a great teacher and deserves to be back in classroom.
She is the best teacher! Why would anyone ever let her go?
She is an amazing young lady who loves what she does. Letting her go would be foolish. Good teachers who truly care about their students are hard to find. Everyone has health issues and that shouldn't be a factor in her ability to teach.
This is NOT acceptable.. whomever made her resign should feel bad and guilty.. God don’t like ugly if they did it to her they will do it to someone else so I hope that person doesn’t get sick.
Abby Smith is an awesome teacher! Through the years she has helped many students succeed. She really cares about her students.

Mrs Smith cannot go. She is an amazing teacher and has helped the kids grow tremendously. My daughter knows how to ADD!!! It’s pre-k. How can you let go of a teacher like this. She needs to stay.
