The school board finally backed down and voted to keep our kids at Gold Hill. They tried to tear our families apart for no good reason but we forced them to listen. Stay alert because we will be watching them like hawks to make sure they do not try this …
This is Lake Ridge’s petition to keep our kids at Gold Hill Elementary School. Many of us moved to this neighborhood specifically for this school and have dedicated countless hours to it. Whether serving on the PTO, helping with lunches, raising funds, etc., we are invested by our time, energy, and money in Gold Hill Elementary School. It is unfair to move us to a different school. We are strongly encouraging you to vote no to moving Lake Ridge to a different school. Gold Hill is where we belong.
The school board is finally feeling the heat because we refuse to let them displace our kids. This momentum proves the district cannot just ignore us when they decide to play games with our neighborhood.

The zoning needs to be reconsidered. Our neighborhood is too close in proximity to GHES to not attend. It is apparent the proposed zoning did not consider many factors; only considered the easy option to fix capacity issues.

We love Gold Hill and bought in Lakeridge for that reason! Why should our kids be uprooted because of poor planning by our officials! Logistically it will be a nightmare with traffic also! Please, please consider keeping us Gold Hill!

This would be a 4th elementary school for my kids in 4 years thanks to the freeze and the shuttling. These kids shouldn't have to move schools every single year.

Our neighborhood kids should go to the closest school which is GHES. I also feel that since I pay Tega Cay taxes, my kids should go to the school in Tega Cay.

Doesn't make any sense that lake ridge kids will have to go to the new school in Mason's bend when GHES is right across. Put in a walkway to the school and kids and parents can walk/bike to school
