We are new to SC and our main reason with choosing LR was due to the schools. We are now being told that our children will not be attending the high rated school GHES like promised. This is something you need to reconsider. This neighborhood has invested so much in this school and now it’s being taken away. If it’s impossible please keep us in our community at TGES as this would be the next best option.

As new residents of LR we are frustrated with the proposal given. We moved from up north and the main reason we chose this neighborhood was being told our children would be attending the top school in FM at GHES. This isn’t fair to all of us new residents who used this information to make a decision on the biggest moves of our lives. If GHES is completely out of question I propose al of LR going to TCES as this is our community and that is who we should be with.

The zoning needs to be reconsidered. Our neighborhood is too close in proximity to GHES to not attend. It is apparent the proposed zoning did not consider many factors; only considered the easy option to fix capacity issues.

We love Gold Hill and bought in Lakeridge for that reason! Why should our kids be uprooted because of poor planning by our officials! Logistically it will be a nightmare with traffic also! Please, please consider keeping us Gold Hill!

Why would you move an entire neighborhood that is in walking distance to Gold Hill? As it is said in the petition, we moved her specifically for Gold Hill Elementary and Middle schools.

This would be a 4th elementary school for my kids in 4 years thanks to the freeze and the shuttling. These kids shouldn't have to move schools every single year.

Gold Hill Elementry is where our children belong. It is part of our community and we are dedicated to it all that is stands for. Please do not uproot our children. It’s one of the major reasons we bought a home here.
