The school board confirmed this morning that Karen Hayes will remain in her position as principal. We have achieved our objective and look forward to her return to the office.
Margarita Middle School is in jeopardy of losing our beloved principal. Have you noticed that Karen Hayes is no longer occupying her office at school? A teacher said that she would no longer be working at the school. We believe they are attempting to fire her without good cause. The board is meeting to discuss this particular issue on March 17th at 4pm and 6pm at 31350 Rancho Vista Road, Conf. Room "D". This petition is to support Mrs. Hayes and keep her employed as Principal at Margarita Middle School.
The spike in volume has forced the district office to acknowledge the existence of this inquiry. My legal counsel is drafting a formal request to review the board meeting record to ensure procedural compliance.

I love Mrs. Hayes, She has went above and beyond for my oldest daughter when she moved here with us from another county and she wasn't at her grade level. I have 3 kids that have been to MMS and have one that is currently in MMS. I'm praying for her return.

Mrs. Hayes always was supportive to my kids. From one whom had special needs to two that excelled. Because of her and the entire Margarita staff my kids went on to greater and better things in life. How can someone who was always there for you your kids just have a district turn their backs on her?

As a retired teacher of 34 years, I continue to wonder why the strong and dedicated educators are at risk when they are making decisions that improve our children's learning experiences. Please keep Principal Karen Hayes as or

Class act administrator. Exemplary female role model for ALL students and not afraid to do what is best for kids. Truly a Temecula tragedy if we lose her and my kids are done with middle school so I definitely don't have an agenda here. Just enormous respect for an amazing principal.

I had a lot of interaction with Ms Hayes when I worked for the City of Temecula and she was not just professional but a joy to be around. I haven't encountered a principal that knew so many kids by name and their specific needs. I hope the school district doesn't lose such a remarkable employee.

Karen Hayes is the greatest advocate for our kids in the district. By far the greatest educator that I have met in TVUSD. Very disturbed to hear this news. My children look up to her as a role model and were deeply saddened to hear this.

Removing a Principal from their assignment takes guts and that what TVUSD leadership did. Do you realize that 3 teachers have taken stress leave this year at MMS and now a 4th may follow by the bullying behavior or people (teachers/parents/students) posting signs on a teachers door. Is vandalizing the school also a good way to protest? Wearing " blue shirts" is a joke, obviously no teachers with a backbone supported KH because they know she is not worth it. Wearing black bullying t shirts to board meetings and meetings with Mr Ritter is also a joke. Why did KH not respond for comment on the Press Enterprise article? Her lawyer approved statement was a weak attempt to tell her side. You want some real facts? Go to the TVUSD office and ask to take a look at all of the complaints that have been filed and see how many have come out of MMS. Stop by the TVEA union office and read the Principal surveys to see what MMS staff really thinks about KH. She is lucky, and should be grateful, that a teaching position is even being offered to her. Her pride will not allow her to take it because she will not walk the talk that she has asked of her staff to walk the past 13 years. She wants to sit around in an office and say "Hello" to everyone with a fake smile and then march off to teachers classroom to intimidate them. Then throw the famous, "I hired you..." or " you've changed..." She says this to try and make you feel guilty or that you are not loyal. I am glad I will not have to see her face again at MMS.
