We, respectfully, petition that the FYE Novi
store either stay open, or move to another location in the vicinity. This store
is the only one in the area that has such an extensive music and movie
selection. It has something for everyone - unlike the surrounding retailers
that only sell the “Top 40”. The store also has extremely dedicated and loyal
customers. When the FYE in Westland closed, those customers loved FYE so much
that they started traveling all the way to the Novi location just to shop
there.
Quite a few have already expressed
disappointment in having Great Lakes Crossing or Berkley as their next only
option because of the distance – especially with the rising cost of gas prices
and other bills. They have also conveyed that they would switch to buying
online from another retailer if this store were to close. The store also has
several groups of special needs organizations that coordinate field trips to
Twelve Oaks mall just to visit FYE specifically.
A considerable amount of employees from
numerous businesses inside Twelve Oaks mall have voiced their disappointment on
the store closure as well. The majority spend their breaks inside the store,
and almost always purchase something. They have become loyal customers as well.
Novi is an undoubtedly lucrative business area, so it would be prudent for FYE
to remain open in this city.

The mall owners should realize that they have a anchor store that they are losing. FYE is a major asset to the mall and drives patronage. Closure of FYE would be a colossal misstep on the mall owners part.
This store is one of the few locations left in the area to buy music and movie entertainment. Not to mention the staff there is amazing and super knowledgable. It was a sad day when the Westland location was closed. Twelve oaks although out of the way was still worth the trip. Don't close this store.
I do not have top 40 tastes this is the only store around that caters to that style
I love the Novi Fye I can go in there and look for movies i like and cds to.and I was very upset when they closed fye at wonderland mall (Livonia) and Westland Mall when I moved here to Novi I walked though 12 Oaks Mall and see that they had a FYE there See some Familaur face Jeff and Nathan I said this is not westland store they told me that they closed that location.
Please keep this store open, they are one of my favorites stores to visit , and I drive all the way out there just for fye-novi when I live 5 min. From great lakes crossing, mainly due to amazing staff and great selections. :)

Not too long ago, I got into buying physical media. The fact that FYE is gone now is a real shame. Let's hope this petition does something!

Dear Twelve Oaks Mall, I think you should get rid of Brookstone too so you can have a clothes only mall. FYE is a huge attraction for so many mall goers, and for more than just music and movies. When I go to the mall with my family, FYE is MY destination. I can't imagine a city like Novi with all the traffic and shopping available that a book store or music store cannot thrive. It is clear that my new shopping meca will be Brighton, only because they have a Barnes and Noble. Twelve Oaks Mall, Novi, FYE don't let this happen. You have no idea how many people were upset when Borders closed. I probable cut my shopping in Novi by more than 50%.
