As mentioned at the Fuqauy-Varina Town Hall meeting on February 1st 2016, Wake County received only 24 e-mails in opposition to the proposed Judd Parkway location of the future Fuquay-Varina library.

In contrast, there was strong opposition to the Judd Parkway location on several social media sites. Through social media, many town residents expressed a strong desire to keep the new library centrally located in downtown, to serve as link between the Fuquay and Varina downtown districts.

Despite this opposition Wake County decided that the new library should be located at Judd Parkway. We are respectfully asking for them to do additional location investigation on the plot of open land between the Fuquay downtown district on Main Street and the Varina downtown district on Broad Street, about a quarter mile north of the existing library.

By signing this petition, you are in favor of Wake County conducting further studies on the plot of land adjacent to King Street off N. Main Street which will support keeping the Fuquay-Varina library in the heart of downtown.
