The core American value is freedom of choice. We value our right to choose what we read, say, watch, worship and eat. But those rights are being taken from us. The state of California has allowed biased animal rights activists to interfere with free market trade and consumer choice by banning foie gras entirely. We question the sensibility of allowing political agendas to dictate what we can eat, and worry about how this will impact other freedoms and rights. We would like to reserve our right to eat foie gras. Please repeal SB 1520 and allow the people of the state of California to keep producing, selling, cooking, and most of all, eating foie gras.
