Final supporters
We, the citizens of Coos County, stand in opposition of opening back up our short term rentals (motel, hotel, and privately owned) and parks at this time. We believe that to do so would invite tourism from other, higher incident areas increasing our risk of contracting and possibly suffering an outbreak here. We are concerned that we barely have enough medical resources for our area during a standard flu season and are unsure how our medical system here could possible cope with even moderate numbers of Covid19 cases. We are also concerned with the rising numbers at Shutter Creek, that we may already be headed towards a problem. Governor Brown was clear in her position that in order to move forward with opening back up, we should see a decline in cases. Ours have just begun to rise. Please reconsider your move to reopen our area to short term motel, hotel and park visitors until May 11th, 2020. At that time it can be reconsidered with the advice of medical professionals taken into consideration. If, at that time, it is decided to reopen, please have a safety plan which includes testing, masks and how they will be obtained, and other appropriate guidance and guidelines. We stand together and will get through this together if we all work together. Safety for our citizens must come first.

we don't have any local testing or capacity for coronavirus patients should tourists bring it to our e should wait community. We should wait longer before opening the Bandon area up again. The decision to open should be based on science not greed.
I work in healthcare and cannot bring this virus to the elderly that I care for. Leave things closed and no vacationers from anywhere. We do not have the resources to take care of thousands of vacationers and our own elderly or compromised.
I am a server in bandon. It is terrifying to think of folks coming here from everywhere right now. It seems like the cases in coos county are just starting to take off. This seems too soon. Really makes zero sense right now.
Covid-19 is just starting to emerge as a result of 9 cases this past week from Shutter Creek prison in Coos County. We cannot afford to bring travelers in to continue the spread of this virus and to shop in our two markets and make our meager supplies dwindle even more.
To early to open especially to tourist,would prefer to open to locals at first so they feel safer to come out and shop. Please consider how we feel, we have been couped up and need to breath a little at first. I am a shop owner in Old Town Bandon, Oregon store name D'Lyn's

I was astonished that the, so called, county commissioners would leave us open for disaster. We are a county with too many elderly and we have a high rate of asthmatics! I appreciate the pressure from some but they are supposed to protect ALL the people in this county
