we got the news today that geisler is staying and the music program is safe. i am honestly blown away by how many of you stepped up to keep this going and i cannot thank you enough for making it happen. lets keep paying attention to these budget meetings so …
This petition is to give parents and students equal opportunity to express distaste over the recent possibility given to let go of Richard Geisler from the Anderson Community School Corporation. This is due to the corporation's reduction of music staff. However, without this man, harsher stress will be put on the music instructors to keep the program together, and ultimately, the education, passion, and musicality of the students involved could suffer. Please reward our efforts with your signature.
im hearing so many stories from students about how mr geisler changed their lives and its honestly keeping me going. ive been busy sending these messages over to the school board so they realize this is about way more than just numbers on a page.

You have 2 or 3 coaches for a sports team of maybe 20 or 30 but feel the need to let go of a TEACHER who helps teach about 300 students...let's think about this shall we? Mr. Geisler is a very very good teacher who cares about his students and puts effort into his work!! Please keep Mr. Geisler!!! We need him!

A lot of kids in a huge band needs the assistant director. There is no reason in cutting this position considering you are basically combining 3 high schools into 1 and. You desperately need this teacher in order to make the band functional!

I am a choir mom and my choir student really likes this man and his abilities, she is quite disheartened with the possible loss of this wonderful teacher. Please don't cripple the music department by releasing him. When you have a good thing going why is there a need to remove him?

Mr. Geisler is such a talented educator and we can't afford to lose him! His dedication to his students is very evident in the way that he interacts with them. He has a passion for music education that spreads throughout the community, and is crucial to the Anderson Community School Corporation's growing music program.

As a graduate of Highland High School, a tax payer, and parent of ACSC students, I do not support any changes that affect the current music programs at any of the ACSC schools. This school system has always prided itself on the accomplishments of the band and music programs. The resurgence of the show choirs is an excelent example.

Geisler not only helps with the band and the choir, but he also is part of running piano lab and is the assistant swim coach. We have a 'quadruple-threat' on our hands and he's not someone we can afford let slip through our fingers. Thanks to all who have signed this petition and supported our favorite teacher!

Mr. G is an amazing band director. My nephew and nieces have both been under his direction. One of my nieces is in the band at Anderson and has much respect for this man. To lose Mr. G. would be an awful loss to the Anderson Community Schools. He is devoted to his teaching and directing and gives more than 100%. How many teachers would have this kind of support not only from the students but from parents as well? Save Mr. Giesler's job!
