Bruin Block is a crucial part of student life in Broadneck Highschool. Students rely on bruin block to visit teachers, participate in clubs, and it is our only chance to socialize with our friends. With arising concerns about the productiveness of bruin block from administrators, we are willing to compromise and work on bettering bruin block so that students take better advantage of this opportunity.

Seeing one hundred people sign this shows I am not the only student who relies on Bruin Block to keep my grades up and my head clear. It is honestly heartening to know that so many of you view this time as a lifeline.

Seeing the flood of support for keeping our time at school intact confirms that I am not the only one who genuinely values this period. The momentum we have built proves that students are ready to prove how meaningful this hour is for our school culture.

Bruin block not only offers the ability for people like me whose parents will not drive them places to participate in clubs and activities. Not only this but studying and homework is so much easier when you have the option to go to a quiet spot, not a loud, busy cafeteria.
Getting rid of bruin block will interfere with every sport involving eligibility and missing practice to make things up. A lot of people use bruin block correctly and need it to get grades up. It is also an important to be able to connect with friends so we’re not talking in our classes.
Please keep Bruin block. It has been hugely helpful for my student athletes to keep up with their work. It is also helpful to my child with an IEP. I appreciate the logistical difficulties for administration and hope a solution can be found.
This is a crucial tool for both of our children. Please do not take away there time to work on school within the school hours. This allows them time to get extra help or work on group projects. Try to fix the problem of noncompliance by some not take it away from all!
Bruin block helped me so much and especially since I can’t drive and I have job I can’t stay after and with all my medical history with surgeries and missing a lot of school Bc of it I will just end up failing Bruin block is the only thing keeping me reassured
i love using bruin block and i use it to a great advantage. idk what i would do if i didn’t have time to rest!
My daughter uses Bruin block to work on projects with other students and to get help from teachers when she needs it. It has been a huge help for her to maintain a high GPA

The social aspect for both my sons in getting to eat lunch with whomever will be effected by having ABC lunch where they will be forced to eat with their period class. As both are extremely shy, they are very much anxious about this change.
