Currently, Marion County High School is on a six block schedule. Next year, there will be seven blocks in a school day. With this change, it reduces each class by 6 minutes. This may not seem like a lot, but in an entire school year it takes us 18 days. This takes away much needed class time, especially for core classes. Many students take Advanced Placement classes, in which time is very precious. The teachers and students need to keep the six block schedule to keep the amount of time for teaching information the same.

THINK ABOUT THE TEACHERS TOO. They have so much grading as it is and now they have to plan for an extra class? ridiculous.

my ap chem teacher is already struggling to finish the labs. taking away minutes is gonna make it impossible to get ready for the test.

I agree! AP teachers already push us hard enough to try and get everything taught to us before the exam! Cutting the time out will only make it harder on us and them!

7 periods would give the teachers a hard time because they will have to teach 6 classes a day instead of 5.

Another whole class period of work and less time to do and learn it. Wouldn't say that's a good idea...
