Dear Friends, As part of my Learning Objectives in Philadelphia this semester, I decided to petition the Mayor of Philadelphia asking him to add the Kazakh flag on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway along with the rest of the flags from all over the world. Benjamin Franklin Parkway is a scenic boulevard that runs through the cultural heart of Philadelphia. The city claims that the flags represent the nations from around the globe. As a Kazakh citizen, however, I am disappointed that the city has yet to hang the Kazakh flag on the parkway. My goal is to collect as many signatures as possible (the initial goal is 100, but the more the better) on this petition and send our request Mayor Michael Nutter.
