Public Money spent by Public Servants must be Public Knowledge.

We have the right to full disclosure when it comes to public spending. No more secrets.

The National Government allocated K20 million for Tourism Development in East New Britain, but we know very little of it went to ENB Tourism Authority. Where did it all go ? We want answers.

Sign here to demand an investigation into the East New Britain Provincial Administration to reveal their handling of this K20 million so we can find out where it all went. That's not all.

I have spent the last few days meeting with community members who are just as tired of these missing funds as I am. The silence from the provincial administration is loud but it only proves why we need to keep digging for the truth.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one tired of watching our province lose funds while our infrastructure crumbles. We are finally proving that people are ready to hold these officials accountable for the K20 million that vanished. This momentum gives me hope that we can track down the truth.

Corruption such as this kills or slows down the progress of tourism in East New Britain. Our tourism needs every toea in order for it to fully blossom. We need to get this sector going in order for ENB to benefit fully from its tourism assets .If we keep delaying it maybe in a few decades most of our tourism assets on the coast such as the seaside waterfalls (Wara Kalap) in Paradise Pomio will probably be consumed by the effects of climate change.

I’m signing this petition because I would like too see an improvement and proper accountability, transparency, honesty and integrity on the use of future public funds by East New Britain Provincial administration. Also, the past use of K20million so called Tourism money spent needs to be outlined and explained to the public..

(1) Investigate all Provincial Government Trust Accounts including Kinabot Trust (2) Payment to Raultamama Land Company Ltd for the Land to Build PHQ.. Paid in absence of Title and Valuation. (3) investigate Provincial Government funds spent on the court case of New Britain Resource Development Ltd Vs Independant state of PNG and National Fisheries Authority. NBRD company Ltd is not a provincial government entity.

As a “role model” province to the rest of the country, there has to be accountability in all areas of governance. This one is no exception and therefore we demand the provincial government to conduct a proper independent audit how the funds has been used.

I fully support this petition in the seeking clarification from the relevant authorities to explain how the K20 million earmarked for Tourism in ENB was used or misused.
