As many of you already know Sami Sanchez was the victim of a brutal attack in May 2009.Which left him in a coma and is still in hospital to this day, Sami will be disabled for the rest of his life. This petition is in support of encouraging the judge responsible for the sentencing of 'Ali Abdul Hamid' to give the maximum sentence allowed.

The story is so far..

Due to the lack of evidence and distortion of the CCTV footage the original charge of GBH was dropped and a plea of 'Aggravated Assault' was accepted by the Crown Prosecution. For all of us this is a serious injustice and the maximum sentence that can be given is 0-5 years. Through this petition we urge the judge to consider the horrendous effect this has had on Sami and his family. This man has destroyed Sami's life and although no sentence will ever compare to the damage done physically & emotionally we would like the judge to see how loved Sami is and how strongly we feel about the suffering that he has endured.
If we can together have any affect on the judges decision, then please sign this petition to show how remarkable Sami is and strongly we all feel about the decision he is about to make.
This is your chance to have your say...

Thank you for support.

My heart goes out to Sami and his family. The system has failed them. Lock him away.

MAXIMUM SENTENCE. Do the right thing judge. Sami is still suffering while he gets a slap on the wrist. Totally unacceptable.

This makes me sick. 5 years is nothing for ruining someone's whole life. He deserves way more than that.

Ridiculous that they dropped the charges. People like that are a danger to the public.

Justice for Sami. Nobody should get away with such a brutal crime. Keep him behind bars for as long as possible.
