Veronica rose Poitras was a 16 month old baby girl who was beaten to death by her moms boyfriend Sherman Whitford. Whitford has requested bail and gets a final bail decision in St. paul Ab on Nov 24th. I made this petition to present it to the court that day to deny Shermans bail. this monster does not deserve to be walking free while my niece is in the ground. He shouldn't ever be released from jail, he took a beautiful baby's life from her. A father has to live without his daughter, not to mention the grandparents and the little sister. The mother should be charged as Well, she didn't protect or give this poor baby any necessities. If she did she would still be here.
For once please let the judicial system protect others from this non human being! This was a choice that he made. He gave up all his rights the minute he laid a hand on Veronica.
Omg poor baby. She didn't deserve such abuse. Hope he gets whats coming to him. I didn't get to meet her yet. That's my first cousins grandbaby. Veronica I'm sure was a beautiful little girl. He robbed me of ever meeting her.
Im wondering how someone who beat a child to death would even be considered to be set free? She can no longer speak for herself everyone failed her and she died at the hands of this beast. Please keep him locked up, For the safety of everyone.
I hope that justice will prevail in this case..the lack luster descions of our court systems have let to many people out on bail where they run and hide and walk the streets endangering the welfare of Canadian citizens

This little girl's death and the resulting bail, and soft sentencing of her killer is such a travesty of justice. Is a child's life taken really only worth 7 years imprisonment? Manslaughter only for this crime that should have been 2nd degree murder?

no body should get a chance to walk again in society if they harm a innocent child or anyone. That child didnt ask for it at all they cant defend for themselves this a senseless act and as a mother this bothers me that a child had to go through this from the hands of there parent who should be there to protect them not harm them.
