The jaw-dropping police video of Nikitah's rescue after being brutally locked up and tortured in a shipping container by her abusive ex. She was bound and gagged and subjected to horrific abuse, including raping her with wire so she couldn't have kids. He was charged with common assault, torture and threatening violence!!! He was sentenced to 8 years but with time served he may be eligible for parole in less than 3 years! This was attempted murder....not common assault!! He now has the audacity to appeal his sentence.

Why is it permissible to torture anyone to this degree and be allowed into society again?! The next victim will not be so lucky. This person will attack again, they should never ever be allowed to see the light of day again.
That sentence is not a proper reflection of what the rest us would consider even close to being just. What a horror for the victim and others like her to suffer the trauma of such a crime and then suffer further by a system that fails them.
I wish Nikitah a bright and safe future. One that will allow her to heal. With this horrible man on the streets, I doubt that she would truly ever feel safe as I'm sure she would be worried if he found her, or attacked again. Therefore, he shouldn't ever be released.
What a disgusting excuse for a human being. Should never be real eased from prison. Best wishes to Nikitah. Well done to the amazing job done by the two police officers. You are a credit to yourselves and our police force.
This sentence is severely inadequate for the crimes he committed! Kidnap and holding a person hostage, rape and torture should be a life sentence. This is not a person we want back on streets to be free to harm women again!
Seriously 8 years for what he did to that poor women inmagine how many others his hurt shame on our system
He should be locked away for life without the possibility of parole!!

I sign this because the courts and govt need to stop giving light sentences to scum like this. Sentencing needs to be in inline with community expectations. Courts are a joke. Will put people in jail for unpaid fines but wont give a decent sentence to repeat affenders.
