According to the notice we received on 17/06/2020 from office of Collector, Cuttack that our college is being shifted to an indefinite and not suitable location i.e DRIEMS ,purely a private organization which will bring some unavoidable problems. So being the student of IMIT we want you to stand by us and forward this problem to the eyes of GOVT. Of Odisha.
According to the view of every student of our college we will definitely face problems like hostel facilities ,transportation ,lab hands on, classes. Safety concern of the students will also be compromised if our college is being shifted to an indefinite location.
So we the students of IMIT want to continue our study at current location and if situation prevails on us , then we want you to take these important decisions on choosing a appropriate location with same secured hostel facilities based on mutual consent with students, parents and alumni union.
Being the students of the college we have the right to know in which circumstances the decision has been made.
It will be difficult for us to pursue our degree if the location will be changed.
There should be an acknowledgement meeting with the students before taking such an important decision.
Here we want to notify that ,there are 700 girls students in our college and it is not acceptable to shift 20 KM distance.We can give a thought about shifting to an area where we will get all the facilities within 5-10KM,but shifting to a distant area is not satisfactory at all.
Alumni's still get background verification clearance when they switch or apply for job
Campus recruitments will not be in place anymore if there is no existance of a permanent address.
So, we request you to observe above stated scenarios and provide us with the written confirmation about permanent allocation of land to IMIT and your plan how to execute our requirement within the temporary allocation period.

The silence from the office remains draining but we are not stepping back. I have been reading your messages about how this shift disrupts your lives and those stories are what keep this moving forward despite the lack of direct answers.

please allocate permanent land for the college before shifting to any temporary location. Also temporary location should be a government property.
It is not in favour of students as the new campus is out of the city in a distant location . It will not be easy for the students to accommodate themselves there easily. Moreover under a private organizational campus the administration cant work as before it was working and many other problems will arise. So I go against the notice which was earlier issued.
As I am a student of IMIT .... I request to look for a better hostel facility As IMIT hostel...like 2 boarders in one room it's the most important thing for me & for all Boarders.
Maximum of the students took admission in IMIT because of quality education and location of organization. So how can be 20km and such place be preferable???
Hospital is need of the society but the importance of education cannot be violated. The SCB CAMPUS extension is a good idea but govt should think about the future of the students who with dreams in their eyes are studying in the instruction , whose future is in trouble.
Before replacement a particular land arrange for IMIT
I extend my support towards this petition. As a student of this institution, I urge the authorities to take appropriate measures.

I am a resident of bhubaneswar and also student of IMIT. Due to financial problem I travel from bhubaneswar to cuttack everyday to attend classes instead of staying at hostel. If the college shifts to tangi which is approx 20 kilometers far from cuttack then I will face many problems and also many of my friends will face same type of problems. so please dont shift our college .
