Help me stop the deadly actions of the Arawak Cement Plant. Their actions prove they inconsiderate to the community they operate in. Cement plants are a significant source of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide. Inhaling these can cause diseases of the heart, lungs, vision impairment and much worst.
Cement dust causes lung function impairment, chronic obstructive lung disease, restrictive lung disease, pneumoconiosis and carcinoma of the lungs, stomach and colon.

An environmental impact accessment should be done both on the land and at sea. I remember a similar complaint years ago. Thought the matter was resolved but now back again? Unacceptable.
Broomefield, I called early up in this year to let them know about the dust, because my grandchildren have allergies and nothing was done about the dust.
I live in Broomfield St Lucy, it affects my daughter since was a new born and she four now and I have to be given her meds every day to help her breathe, my self I'm also now having sinus issues from the dust
Something needs to be done house always full with dust n it effects my eyes n I have 3 asthmatic living in my home
This is a very important cause. My uncle worked at the Cement Plant for over 30 years and did not live to enjoy his retirement because he died of lung disease. We have to take action now!!
Ridiculous! What you dont want for yourself you should not sit idly by and watch it happening to others knowing full well the problem can be rectified. Barbados is not only for the rich but for the average barbadian as well. Do better.

I am suffering at the hands of the cement plant all the dust went the wind blowing come in the house l have very bad sinus and have to put rynase espray nasal in my nose
