We, the residents of Redcliff and surrounding areas, are sounding the alarm about the devastating environmental impact of the mining activities on the banks of our Cactus dam
The mining company, operating in our area, is using heavy equipment and explosives, causing vibrations that can be felt in nearby homes. This is not only destroying our environment but also posing a significant risk to our dam, health, and safety.
Despite our complaints to the city authorities, no action has been taken, and the destruction continues. We urge the authorities to:
• Immediately halt the mining activities
- Conduct an environmental impact assessment
- Ensure the company complies with safety and environmental regulations

We are siege. The exploitation of gold at Cactus mountain in Redcliff is causing noise pollution, air pollution and tremors caused by explosives are damaging houses in Engelbretcht and Cactus residential areas
Water is life, can't give up water for minding activities especially with the ongoing climate change issues, Midlands is full of minerals - let them go mine somewhere else where they are not disturbing water channels, we stand together in solidarity
I don't like the violent blast's being done by the new mine in two. There are now two visible cracks at our house since the blasting started. The mine brings more harm then good to redcliff residents. No to environmental damage
My home is just behind cactus dam and the mining is affecting my home. I don't see my home being intact or available in the near future due to the mining happening in residential areas . Please help us
We cannot allow such an iconic mountain to be destroyed. It will in turn lead to the siltation of the dam next to it. PLEASE STOP THIS DISTRUCTION!

I grew up in Redcliff. Cacutas is our heart , our resort , our sacred place .the mountains, thr trees , the river .they're part of who we are .if we let outsiders come and destroy them for profit , what will be left for us ? Is it fair that they benefit while we lose everything that makes our home special ?
