The government has finally signaled a shift toward approving designated motorhome stopovers across the country. This transition reflects the collective insistence that our local economies benefit when we welcome visitors properly. I am grateful for the 556 people who stayed committed to this vision until the policy changed.

An Aire is simply a place where overnight parking of motorhomes is tolerated.
Aires in Europe vary from just a park to facilities that have a minimal charge that cover the cost of fresh water, chemical toilet empty point and electric hook up etc.
Aires would add to the economy of local areas, as users would purchase local produce and use amenities etc.

Motorhome sales in the UK is increasing by 15% per year, more space is going to be needed somewhere!
After experiencing the Aires in France and the service they give us. Definitely need them here in the UK
It would add to the economy of the local area, whenever we stay on an Aire we always buy locally, bread etc.
why can we not be a bit more like Europe and understand that motorhomes spend a lot of money when they visit towns and villages so give them some where to park overnight cheap or free
Would be amazing if councils looked at the gains from this venture rather than posting 'No Overnight Camping' signs everywhere!
More and more councils are banning campervans and motorhomes from carparks in the UK. This bam

Thousands of UK motorhomers, like me, take their holidays abroad because it is such a pain to park overnight in the UK.
