I have been hearing from so many of you who just want a place to celebrate together when the holiday arrives. I am working behind the scenes to get the council to listen to why this matters for our community at Makis.

Seeing this much energy behind the idea of spending the holiday together at Makis is truly humbling. I started this because I know how much this place feels like home to us, and knowing you all feel the same way gives me the strength to push the council harder.

YES PLEASE! would love to spend the new year here with everyone
The site is so beautiful in the winter. cant see why they wont let us use our own vans for the holidays.
really hope this happens! we have been coming here for years and would love to stay for new years eve
makes no sense to close it up when people want to be there. open the gates!
