To the Fairview High School administrators: Recently we found out that Mrs. Meeker was not recommend for the contract to be renewed. As one of her students in the past, I personally was appalled. She was my favorite. The one who was open minded and talked about everything, the who cared, the one who always made class interesting enough for us to pay attention. The one who was passionate enough about teaching, and never gave up on a student. I can think of many reasons why she should continue to be a teacher at FHS. Every student should have the opportunity that I and my classmates had. But it's not just me who thinks this way, there's many others. Here are just some comments that were made right after the shocking news were given to us. ****** I'm sorry you are going through this. I know how passionate you are about teaching. That school cost a lot of students a great teacher. ****** I am so sorry this happened. I think you a wonderful teacher, friend, and mom and i was shocked to hear they did this to you. I hope that we can fight this and kids at Fairview will continue to get the privilege of being your students. ****** I cannot find the words except to say that I am deeply sorry. The schools should be too. They do not understand what they have lost. You have so much to offer. I hope you find a place that realizes this, and embraces it. ***** I find it so hard to imagine because you were one of only two teachers from my high school career who actually made a difference. You did more for me than you likely know by being a kick-ass teacher. I feel ...so terrible for kids at any school who are going to miss out on that for whatever reason. So please, sign this petition. So this woman can continue to educate us, so this mother can still continue to provide for her family and so your kids do not miss out on this amazing teacher.
