This petition is for the residents of the state of Texas. Did you know that here in Texas, if you are in a car wreck caused by another driver and someone in your car is seriously injured, the police will NOT test you for Drugs/Alcohol unless the person dies at the scene? So if the person you LOVE does not pass away until the next day, all they recieve is a ticket? I hope to change this law, to include If a person is incapacitated at the scene, The POLICE will have to do a test for Drugs/Alcohol at the scene! The next day is too late, to go back and do what should have been done right there at the wreck site. I implore you to support this petition, I know first hand about this injustice, I lost my 3 year old granddaughter to a driver that should have been tested at the scene.
