Coach Kevin Merriman is the current JV soccer coach for Lakewood Ranch High School. His lack of understanding for the game of soccer and inability to treat everyone on the team equally has made for a steady increase in discouraged and angered players that can tell they are being mistreated by someone who should not be holding the current position that he currently has. We are asking for the immediate removal of Kevin Merriman from JV soccer program at Lakewood Ranch for the sake of current and future players at Lakewood Ranch. We have stated our problem and because we would like the current JV soccer team to continue their season we are offering a valid and promising solution that will ensure future growth for the soccer program. Jake Dube the current assistant Varsity coach is more than qualified to take over Kevin Merriman's position and has filled in for Merriman when he was not available with great success. Dube who has a clear understanding of the game of soccer shows promising signs for a strong future of the JV soccer program at Lakewood Ranch and has happily agreed to take the position.
