This petition serves the purpose of returning Jim Maska as Hays High School Girls' Head Soccer Coach. Finding a coach more dedicated than Maska will be extremely difficult. Last season, the Girls' soccer team had a winning record and missed making State by one goal against Wichita Trinity. Maska lead us to a Regional Championship in 2016 and he has a high chance of leading us to state in the 2017 season due to his great knowledge of our team's chemistry and skills. We are a family and we can not do it without him. Please sign this petition and help us bring Maska back as our 2017 Girls' Soccer Coach!

I have been reading through all your stories about how Maska helped on the field and it really reminds me why we need him back for this season because nobody understands this team like he does. I spent all night drafting letters to the school board to make sure they see these comments and honestly my head is spinning trying to organize all this support but keep the messages coming because it helps me remember why we started this whole thing in the first place.

I really thought this might just be a small thing but the momentum is actually blowing my mind right now. It is wild to see so many people who clearly care about the team and what Maska brings to the field because honestly he really is the only one who knows how we play.

I played soccer for Coach Maska during my senior year of high school. He is a great coach and has the most heart out of any coach I've ever played for.
Jim is great guy and a wonderful coach. He's very dedicated to each player individually and how they work together as a team. It's shocking to me that it has to come to a petition for him to remain coaching. He deserves to remain coaching and teaching the game he knows and loves.
I am an alum from hays high . While I was there Jim never was a coach but the simple fact Jim has been a part of my life a long time especially with soccer. - great man father friend and coach. I believe the reason he god dismissed was some kid told his her mom he poked him and wasn't getting playing time and what not. I'm so disappointed and hearing this. Being a player for hays high I was 1 goal away from all time leading scorer. he plays the best players plain and simple maybe the kid should work harder on his game then crying cause he can't take criticism and toughness from the coach. PleAse just give him his job back he just took the girls to state seriously what's wrong with you all.
Deserves to be a coach. Has worked for 15 years to help soccer in hays and without him soccer will die out at the high school level.
Coach Maska and these girls are a family! I couldn't ask for a better leader for my daughter and I support his return to HHS girls soccer whole heartedly! HHS is failing these girls if he is not their coach. His dedication to the game, love for his team and of the sport, and drive and leadership to see them succeed and go on to the next level if they choose is only the tip of the iceberg. Coach Maska cares not just about the game but also the development of the skill, sportsmanship and the future of the player. He was also one I could call on when my child needed encouragement or guidance in other matters as well. Because of his investment, sincere interest, support and leadership, my child has gone on to realize the dream of playing soccer at the college level.
