THANKS ALL WE HAVE THE SIGNATURES. APPLICATION GOING OFF ON MONDAY.

We, the undersigned, support the application for IVYBRIDGE to become part of the national network linking like-minded communities and for the town to be awarded WALKERS ARE WELCOME accolade. We believe that achieving this status will bring useful benefits to local residents and the business community. We support the campaign to secure better facilities for walkers, the continued maintenance of our public footpaths, the development of way marked trails and better access to the town by public transport. All of which are necessary to the success of the WALKERS ARE WELCOME application.

I have been walking these local trails since I was a child and seeing so many of you join this effort reminds me why this town is so special. Our paths are the heart of this community and preparing the final application has been a labor of love that I hope secures a better future for every hiker who visits us.

Seeing this community rally behind Ivybridge makes me so proud of the trails I have hiked my whole life. This momentum proves that our town is ready to embrace its future as a true destination for walkers.

Located at the southern edge of Dartmoor and the start of the 2 Moors Way; with trails to the coast and the South West coast path a short distance away; and being on the Devon coast to coast route, Ivybridge is perfect for walking. Add to that the friendliness of the residents, established walking groups and a supportive town council, it needs no further recommendation.

As an important point in the 2 moors way I think the walkers, both local abnd visiting, are important to Ivybridge

As a regular walker with rambler group I think this would make a great impact for local communities. (After every walk we stop for cream teas before heading home!!)

Ivybridge is a deserving town for Walkers are Welcome recognition as we have commenced many walks from this Moorland Gateway town.

This would reinforce the gateway to the moor and give the town an identity. Also all businesses will prosper due to the increased footfall.

Achievement of this status will not only boost the local economy but encourage and develop walking in and around the area to the benefit of the whole community.
