TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: We, the undersigned, residing in the City of Issaquah, hereby petition the Issaquah Parks Board as follows: We request the City establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where City of Issaquah residents can exercise their dogs in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife; to develop a well-maintained space open to all dog lovers who are willing to uphold the park's rules; to view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Issaquah, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. A dog park would provide a safe place for owners to exercise their canine companions, but it would also provide a place for the community to meet, learn, and share a common interest.
