We the undersigned, would like to express our deep concerns regarding the current situation in Iran. Human rights are not being respected and innocent civilians have been harmed and killed. The protests against the rigged presidential election are suppressed by military forces and militias. As a result, the current government in Iran doesnt represent Iranian nation and is an illegitimate government and all countries due to their commitment and responsibilities for human rights, as they are signatory to it, are supposed not only not to initiate any negotiation with this government, but also disconnect their existing relationship with it. We would like to request the British government not to initiate any negotiation with the government ruling Iran. Negotiation with this government will fade the historical role of Britain as the leader for human rights advocacy. The Iranian government should also be compelled to respect the right of people to gather and protest peacefully, the right to freedom of speech and of the media, and respect for the principles of democracy. We also urge you to ask our allies to do the same and support the Iranian people not only by words, but by your direct and concrete actions.
