The fraudulent elections in Iran and the illegal arrests and violence perpetuated against peaceful protesters and ordinary Iranian citizens are clear violations to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Therefore, as citizens of Iran and the world, we call on the United Nations to form a fact-finding committee authorized to investigate the numerous incidents of election fraud, violent acts committed against the Iranian citizens by the Iranian government, and all illegal arrests and detentions of peaceful Iranian protesters. We demand that representatives from all Member States of the United Nations call for this committee to be convened immediately under the auspices of the United Nations Human Rights Commission which will assist the fact-finding committee in investigating all human right violations committed by the Iranian government in the election period and immediately following the government's announcement of the election results. The compiled petition with your signature will be sent to all Member States representatives of the United Nations.
