General Secretary of the United Nations, We, the undersigned, request international authorities to step in to supervise a recounting of the votes given by a majority of the Iranians in favor of the reformist candidate in the Iranian presidential elections of 2009. We have no doubt whatsoever that extensive rigging has happened in the election and the results do not reflect, by any means, the true nature of the people's decision. This is a coup planned and implemented by the authoritarian leader of the country and his followers meant to oppose people's loud and clear decision. Now, the people who are opposing this obvious fraud are being arrested, attacked and killed and you, as the general secretary of the UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION are requested to interfere to put an end to this clearly undemocratic process of electing a president contrary to people's opinions. We hope that proper decisions and actions from your the UN and the member countries would result in the submission of the authorities to the people's decision in Iran.
