We, the residents and advocates of Hamilton County, call for an immediate investigation into Medicaid fraud taking place within recovery housing. Reports show that some operators are exploiting residents through predatory practices such as fraudulent billing, forcing people into unnecessary treatment programs, and making housing contingent on attending one specific provider. These actions not only waste taxpayer dollars but also destabilize recovery, increase relapse risk, and erode trust in the system. We demand that the Ohio Department of Medicaid, the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Hamilton County Commissioners, and the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office take action to audit providers, enforce compliance with Ohio Recovery Housing standards, and hold fraudulent operators accountable. Recovery housing must be safe, ethical, and transparent, and our community deserves protection from exploitation and abuse

The amount of fraud happening in recovery housing in Hamilton county is out of control. Many in our community having been reporting these folks and screaming at Ohio recovery housing, attorney generals office, county leadership and nothing gets done and things seem to continue to get worse. Something has to change!
I have worked in this feild for 5 yrs a Care Coordinator, Recovery Supporter, and Housing manager. I have witnessed first hand the fraud and damage these housing models have had the Recovery community.
I’ve personally seen what these places are doing and it is the reason I will not work in the recovery field anymore. What they are doing is ethically and morally wrong and are capitalizing on addicts and it’s a form of abuse.
Recovery Housing saved my life and it is so disheartening to see it weaponized to exploit those who are vulnerable the last few years. There has to be a stop. There has to be justice.
As someone who used to be a director of operations for recovery housing in Hamilton I can assure you that the ones that are operating today need to be investigated. Not all are bad however some are just down right hurting while braiding the government.
They are using Neuroweapons Ray Compagna and Cindy Uckenholdt of Sunstone
Yes there is a lot of this going on especially if it is a guy that is running the house because they always are trying to get the girls to sleep with them

Being a care manager for a company that helps support people with SUD background and/or mental health issues, I can personally say that this has been a long time coming! We need to do better and insure accountability for all recovery programs as they hold their clients to the same standard
