The low speed limits on Georgia interstate i-285 has accomplished little more than increasing levels of heavy traffic and costing drivers unneccesary fines for breaking speed regulations. We would like to see the speed limit for this interstate to be raised from 65 mph to 75 mph.
I was stuck behind a massive truck on the loop again this morning and honestly it just reinforced why we are pushing for this increase because the current flow is so disjointed. People keep messaging me with their own nightmare stories about commute times and getting pulled over for just keeping pace with traffic so I am trying to bundle all these experiences together to show the department of transportation that this is not just me whining about my morning drive.

I really thought this might just be a total pipe dream when I first typed it out on my laptop late at night but seeing all this activity makes me realize people are actually fed up with sitting in that traffic just as much as I am. It is wild to see how much energy there is now and I honestly have no idea what comes next but I am ready to figure it out with all of you.

I drive this every single day and the slow limit makes traffic move like a parking lot. push it to 75.

everyone is already doing 80 anyway. current limits just make it unsafe with all the people slamming on their brakes to avoid tickets
