I have been staring at my inbox for hours waiting for a reply while drinking way too much coffee because the silence from the office is honestly deafening. It feels like we are shouting into the void sometimes but then I read the new notes from folks who signed and remember that we are definitely not alone in this frustration.

I honestly never thought the momentum would reach this level but here we are and it just keeps building anyway. It feels surreal to see people actually paying attention to the interpreters in Geneva who have been quiet for way too long now.

working remote has been a total nightmare for my hearing and nobody seems to care about the long term damage
WHO should lead the way in ensuring the ongoing good health of interpreters with them, and set a Best Practice example to other international organisations in protecting us from the risks associated with online and hybrid working arrangements.
This is long overdue!! We are professionals not machines and the current setup is wrecking our ears.
Due to the virtual mode in which we have been working since the onset of the pandemic and the substandard sound qualité my hearing has clearly suffered and I have had vertigo
The audio quality is honestly shocking sometimes. I have had constant headaches after meetings and something needs to change before we all go deaf.
