Gilbert's syndrome is a genetic liver disorder found in 3-12% of the population. It produces elevated levels of bilirubin in the bloodstream (hyperbilirubinemia) and can cause yellowness of the skin and whites of the eyes. Some people that have Gilberts suffer from deep fatigue, nausea, dizziness and brain fog, making it difficult to lead normal life but the cause of it is unknown, which is why we want research to be done. The people around the world that suffer from these symptoms are TIRED OF BEING TIRED! Help us! Support our petition to create an INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GILBERT'S SYNDROME! My 14 year old son has missed the last 6 months of school. The only diagnosis is Gilbert's Syndrome and even our paediatrician admits she's never seen someone so debilitated by GS. Originally she said it is symptomless (despite all his symptoms).

I have it. I understand. I wish people would stop saying " you are always tired" and the brain fog affects me strongly. Not nice being called stupid. I am highly educated and the frustration I feel is overwhelming sometimes. I hope we will be recognized soon.

I am recently diagnosed with GS and I am a young physician.I have been suffering from chronic fatigue and brain fogs.I am 26 and I don't how my coming years are going to be like! .GS is more than a benign condition and needs a lot of research.......

I have been dealing with fatigue all my life and was diagnosed with Gilbert's 7 years ago. I hate struggling to do daily jobs and feeling like I'm lazy for needing extra rest. I hope we can get some answers from this.

I'm 24 and was diagnosed 6 years ago as a result of a blood test to check my iron levels after having my first child. The doctor told me nothing about it, I had to google it! I'm fed up of doctors saying that this doesn't impact our lives.....it does!!

I have had Gilbert's for over 40 years. I am permanently disabled from Gilbert's. I have come upon some doctors who know Gilbert's is horrible. I am happy to help educate other doctors (I am a Nurse), people and that I causes much more than tiredness.
