This petition is to raise awareness for this incurable disorder called Neurofibromatosis. 1 in 3,000 people worldwide are born with it. The seriousness of it can vary, from just having cafe au lait (coffee spots), fibroma spots on the skin and freckling under the armpits and lower waist; to more serious situations where tumors grow on the nerves of the body, on the brain and can even affect eye sight, causing some people to go blind.
I am one of more luckier ones, as I only have the cafe au lait spots around my chest and thighs, a few fibroma spots on my chest, and freckles under my armpits and lower waist.
Sometimes this disorder can also affect people mentally and not just physically as well especially with younger children.
If you sign this petition, it would mean a lot to me and others that are affected by NF1 including their family members

Exactly, and for me especially here in New Zealand, as there are literally, no special support groups for those who have it, and hardly anyone knows about it, which is quite sad.
Thats unfortunate to hear, only some of my close friends know about it and even an old classmate of mine has it as well. One thing I have done to explain to people how it affects me, is by making a 'Living with NF1' and putting it up on youtube.

My nephew has this and dealing with the tumors is so hard especially when nobody at his school seems to get what he is going through.
