If you believe that kindness and compassion are important in the health of a society, then help Nottingham endorse a charter that acknowledges this fact.

In common with numerous cities throughout the world and in light of the growing need for a more compassionate approach to public policy and community development, we call upon Nottingham City Council to endorse the global Charter for Compassion, join the International Institute for Compassionate Cities and develop a 10 year strategy to integrate developing kindness and compassion in the cities development.

I was looking at the screen just now and saw the count ticking up which is honestly wild to me because we are almost at two hundred and fifty signatures and I really want to hit that mark before I send this over to the council office. If you have anyone in your contacts who might care about a kinder Nottingham please just send the link over to them because I think if we cross that threshold it shows them we are not just a small group of people talking to ourselves.

I was just checking the screen and honestly my heart is pounding because seeing this much momentum makes me feel like we are actually going to change how things work here in Nottingham. It is honestly mind blowing to think that so many people are on the same page about needing a bit more kindness in our local policy and I keep reading through the comments when I should probably be sleeping.

I was just looking at the count and realized we are almost at one hundred signatures which is honestly kind of surreal for me (my coffee is cold again because I got distracted reading the new names). If you happen to know anyone in the city who hasn't seen this yet could you nudge them to check it out because hitting triple digits would really show the council we aren't messing around.

Notts needs this more than ever. Things have been really tough lately and a bit of kindness goes a long way.

LOVELY IDEA! Really hope the council actually listens for once. Our city could be so much better if we just tried a bit harder to look out for each other.
