looking to increase the amount of time available for swimmers of all abilities at Dursley Pool/The Pulse.

We want to Pool to ensure that people wishing to swim lengths can do so. Maybe look to ensure that late evenings have only accompanied children and that the life guards help to ensure that etiquette is maintained.

We do not wish for children to have less time in the pool but do ask that after 18:30/19:00 that people wishing to swim are able to do so

Updates

March 19, 2017

The management at The Pulse is still hiding behind the same lazy excuses while local swimmers are forced out of the lanes entirely. I am currently compiling the mess of feedback I have received to force a face to face meeting with the council regarding these scheduling failures.

I've given up on Dursley and go to Thornbury because it's impossible to swim without dodging unaccompanied children/teens in the pool. It's no pleasure to swim there and the hours for adults only are inconvenient.

My husband suffered an abrasion to his face after being hit by a diving weight thrown across the pool, and he was in a lane. The pool side staff were helpful but I can't help but feel this wouldn't have happened at all or potential to happen again, if there was provision for strictly adults only in the evenings as well as mornings.

I'd happily welcome 18+ swimming, or younger by way of garentee of parent. Kids should have fun and enjoy the use of pool but if they cannot learn to respect the seriousness of our swim then we need a service which brings with it exclusivity to both parties. This isn't segregation this is just being fair to those who pay and can't enjoy a peaceful swim.

Having suffered miscarriages, I find it hard to see parents and children in the pool. It would be easier for people like me to have adult only time.

Adults only...YES PLEASE father of three this is my time to escape the fighting and the bickering, only I come for a swim and that's what I'm met with. We take our lads to football and swimming regularly, but wouldn't it be lovely to walk in there of an evening and just see adults swimming.

Adults only no one under 16 in the pool. I love swimming but I don't like having being a nuisance because of other nuisances. I feel I'm getting on lane swimmers nerves when I don't go as fast as them but then in the remaining pool space I can't swim a full length without a splashing child in the way. How's that fair.

Piss poor that adults can't have dedicated time. I'm all for kids swimming exercising but for Christ sake let's have some adult only time. Quiet swimming, socially agreeable and community inspiring. Just adults. Please listen, and please for Jesus christ's sake give generously.

More adult swims please. More dedicated exclusive adult swim time. Blasted kids rule the pool.
