Howdy! I am working to include a dog park as part of the Hensel Park renovation.

As renovations to Hensel Park are discussed ideas of a dog park have been included. Local residents and students who have dogs need a safe place near the university for them to play and socialize. With the rapid increase in local population, this would be a well-used and attractive addition to Hensel Park.

· Hensel Park is part of the Texas A&M University system, and is designed primarily for the students of the University. In 1986, the City of College Station installed a playground and a fitness center. The park includes three pavilions, picnic units, playground, restrooms, jogging trails, volleyball court, fitness court, softball field, parking for 70 cars, and an open play area.
