We are a group of Year 10 students from Didcot Girls' School and for our Citizenship campaign we are looking to improve the Britwell Road Path, between Lydalls Close and Britwell Road. The path is currently discriminating against people with limited mobility and therefore is breaking the law. We aim to lobby the County Council to get them to change the path.
Seeing this kind of momentum is exhausting but it keeps me moving forward when the meetings feel like they lead nowhere. The weight of this support confirms that others see the same injustice I do every single day.

This path is dangerous, very uneven, and also pitch black when the sun goes down!

Does any one know for certain who is responsible for this road and path ? Is it an ' unadopted road ' ? In recent weeks I have noticed it has got a lot more litter in the hedge next to the path. Best of luck with your efforts to get something done. Maybe form a working party to dispose of some of the litter.

When our kids were little we lived just around the corner and sometimes used it as a shortcut. They called it 'bumpy farm track' and it was bad then, 15 years ago. Not a thing been done since, and now it's next to a GP surgery and a nursing home. I agree - it really is time to improve it!

All paths should be lit.
