As residents of Vancouver Island, we experience firsthand the struggle to find eco-friendly transportation options for travelling up island. Our solution? A train line stretching from Victoria to Port Hardy, with numerous stops along the way. Not only would this provide a greener alternative for locals and visitors alike, but it could also significantly boost tourism in our beautiful region.

According to Transport Canada, rail transport is one of the most energy-efficient means of transportation, emitting less than half the CO2 per passenger-kilometer compared to cars. By implementing this train line, we could drastically reduce our carbon footprint while improving accessibility across Vancouver Island.

Moreover, tourism is a vital part of our local economy. In 2019 alone, over 6 million tourists visited Vancouver Island, contributing significantly to local businesses and communities.
