The purpose of this petition is to make the City of Helena aware of the need for cellular service along the South Shades Crest Road area. We are asking residents of the South Shades Crest area to make their request known to the City of Helena. The lack of cellular service poses a threat during emergency situations, power outages, and is a very frustrating inconvenience for anyone without internet and/or land line services.
This request will assist in allowing a cellular provider to begin exploring the options for making necessary improvements to extend coverage to the South Shades Crest area in Helena.

Reaching this level of support confirms that I am not the only one exhausted by the silence of my own phone during an emergency. This fight is draining but seeing the surge in backing gives me enough resolve to keep pushing the city for answers.

I live in the Long Leaf Lake Subdivision off of South Shades Crest Road, immediately behind Helena Fire Station No. 3. I have no cell phone signal at all at my home, and am concerned should I ever need to make or receive an emergency call. Would greatly appreciate any assistance to improve cell phone coverage.
We live on South Shades Crest Road just past Laurel Lakes subdivision and our cell service is horrible. I fear that in the case an emergency happens, it will be hard to make a phone call due to the lack of cell connection in this area.
Long Leaf Lake subdivision - We definitely need help. I had to get an Airwave (mobile tower) for my house to get service. I also work in Helena down Hwy 52 and service is terrible there too!
This is a need for emergency reasons. Power goes out a lot and since I have to have a booster hooked to my cable modem for my cell phone to pick up when the power goes out we have no way of communicating.
City involvement is due to Zoning ordinances / regulations and possible variances needed

The lack of cell Svc poses a threat during emergency situations & power outages. There is typically NO coverage within most homes & many homeowners can be seen stopped @ the top of the hill within their vehicles @ the entrance of the Long Leaf Subdivision completing calls so they don't lose them prior to arriving home.
