Independence High School's 2015-2016 dress code says "Neither baggy or loose-fitting pants nor excessively tigh-fitting pants shall be worn" - See more at: http://www.tatecountyschools.org/ihs/News/29#sthas.... And like me and most other students we already have our clothes. This rule is unnecessary, and they don't give any clear reason why we can't wear them. Hopefully we can change this early In the school year.

Each an everyday kids either get sent home or sit in iss for dress code. Why is dress code directed when that's not teaching us anything? We arnt learning if we constantly get sent home. Not every child was raised with parents who have money. Most of them have to wear the same dirty clothes they wore the last week. My point is. What is dress code really teaching us?

What if we already bought our clothes before they came up with that rule ? They don't let people know anything unless your really active with school and just be up there ! They alto order us what kind of pants they want us to wear , if it has to be like that

Independence is one of the lowest schools I've ever been to. No one there is concerned about the students education. They care about the scores and ratings. They are more focused on what a student is wearing rather then if a student is obtaining the knowledge he or she needs to acquire in order to succeed in life. So I agree completely.

Try to teaching something first and worry about clothing later. I think teachers need to try to prepare students for college and not harasse them about their attire. Something's shouldn't be allowed but something's are ok.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING DRESS CODE!! You know kids aren't going to go by it anyways ! The teachers worry more about what we have on then what they are teaching us at independence ! We wore the jeans last year so what's the differents!! NO MORE DRESS CODES!
