I AM AGAINST the following change to the Town of Florence parking code:
73.01 PARKING PROHIBITED IN SPECIFIED PLACES.
(Add the following):
(O) It is unlawful to park a vehicle in an area covered by a PUD that specifies two lane traffic on streets and does not provide additional space for on street parking between 12:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. Recreational Vehicles will be allowed to park one time per calendar month for 72 hours in compliance with other parking codes.

Conversations with neighbors indicate that the current language creates significant challenges for those who host overnight visitors. I am currently preparing a formal inquiry to the town council to request further clarification on the intent behind these restrictions.

Why are they trying to micromanage where we park at night? Total overreach from the town.

In a family community with small driveways, plenty of parks and good visibility, it is not needed to remove cars from street parking. Find a real cause to back and stop waisting your energy on cars in streets. Kids play in parks, cars park in streets, it's not that difficult.....
This is ridiculous. We have guests over sometimes and not enough driveway space for everyone. Leave us alone.
Keep this a real community and not one that is controlled by such obnoxiuos nonsense.
