Citizens of Clear Creek Elementary School, as well as employees and visitors of Clear Creek Elementary School, residing outside of those areas, petition to have a traffic light installed at the intersection of Highway 41 and Pleasant Valley Rd. in Cartersville, Ga.
The juncture of these streets is extremely dangerous and numerous accidents have occurred causing bodily injuries and destruction of property.
The imminent danger of this intersection needs to end immediately. We have approximately 1000 members of the school community that use this intersection twice daily. It is just a matter of time before one of the many accidents becomes a fatality.
To redress this problem we petition to have a traffic light installed at this location:
Hwy 41 and Pleasant Valley Rd.

The original plans for this school had a traffic light at this intersection but the county decided not to include it when the school was built! Both my kids went to this school and it was a giant risk every time you left the school!
I believe there should be a traffic light here. When you are turning left on to hwy 41 from pleasant valley Rd you.l can not see. I know because I've had an accident at this location back in November of last year. Something needs to be done!
This is a terribly dangerous intersection with a great amount of children and school busses coming through. We need to make this area safer!!!! It takes atleast 15 minutes for me to get on 41 every morning and when I finally get out Im taking risks I shouldnt.
We definitely need traffic control during the first part of the day and at closing....whether it be a temporary light or an officer...something very similar to what is in use at Cass High School...please and thank you!!!!
My child has been a student at Clearcreek Elementary for 5 years now. And over the years, I have seen many severe accidents and tons and tons of near misses. There should definitely be a light at this intersection.

Although I do not have a child in school there and I live further north, this is a horrible intersection during peak rush hour times. Traffic is heavy on this road and people take a risk trying to turn in and out of this road.
