With everything that’s going on in the world right now, I thought it would be an awesome idea to ask the town to help raise funding and manage a community pool/ splash pad. One of the many reasons why I think the world is seeing today’s problems it’s because no one knows their neighbors. I feel like a community pool would help bring all of our neighbors together. Together we can be the difference we want to see! #onetownoneteam

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the town planning board to review potential sites. I am currently drafting a project proposal to present at this discussion to ensure we have a technical plan ready for evaluation.

I too grew up in Huntersville as a kid with no pool ever. I had a single mom and never understood why those kids got a pool because they lived in one zip code and I didn’t :(
I love our community and would love these events for our family ! I am tired of driving to Cornelius, Davidson, or Mooresville for fun events and splash pads.
Pools are a great place to bring the community together and teach swimming lessons! Google “Franke Bell swimming” she is a hero too! Bringing communities together in a pool!
A splash pad and a pool would be wonderful additions to the community and are, I feel, necessary with all our families and how hot it gets. My HOA doesn't have a pool, so we'd be at a community one daily!
Hoping to the some of the monthly events started right away; after COVID-19, then have the pool/splash pad included in the 2040 vision! It’s a ways off, but we definitely need to do something now to bring everyone together we can’t wait 20 years!

Should be able find room in one of the parks. Not everyone lives in subdivision with pool, not everyone can afford aquatic center or the Y.
