Our kids in Keswick need outlets and things to do that will keep them active and off the streets.
Smaller towns than ours have public pools so why not in Keswick? We pay enough in property taxes to afford this.
I know there is talk that we don't need a pool because we are close to the lake but it is not the same thing. The beaches in Keswick are not great for swimming and a lot of the time there is bacteria and it is not safe to swim.
Most parents work in the summer and our teens are alone at home doing nothing or playing video games. If they go out there is nothing for them to do.
I think our community needs an outdoor public pool that will keep our youth active, getting Vitamin D and color and just having a great time.

We need our own YMCA with a pool in our community. It would allow more employment and things to keep our kids busy all year around.
We are desperate for a pool here in Keswick! The Sutton pool is great but it is way over crowded and so hard to enroll for swimming lessons cause they fill up so fast.
Totally agree, a pool is needed in Keswick. The population warrants it. Trying to go to the beach in summer is difficult unless you arrive at 9 am as it is full of people from the city. Not complaining about tourists but it would give us at the south an option.
A outdoor or indoor pool would be a great thing to have in keswick. I don't bring my kids to the lake because I'm not a big fan of our beaches, and more then half the time there is no parking due to people from out of town.
It would be so beneficial to have a public pool in Keswick, as the pool in Sutton is absolutely disgusting, dirty and smells terrible. Not all parents/ kids have the means to go to Sutton or Newmarket to go swimming and it's a great way to keep active!
Would love to see a public pool in Keswick.
It's almost just as far to drive to Newmarket with better facilities. With our growth, this should be a consideration if it is not.
