Some of us citizens--mothers, fathers and children--have decided to present the matter to the Commissioner Of Police, Bangalore, today at 4 pm. We are submitting a petition that will insist that the guilty be brought to book immediately and that safety of children has to be every school's top priority. We are not going to stage a dharna or protest, but just going to hand over a letter that will espouse this cause. Please sign this online petition if you cannot be present at the venue. We need all the support and solidarity we can get.

Even a employee working in a factory if meets with an accident during working hours is legible for compensation by the factory owner. How can a school be not responsible for what is happening to the kids during school hours and that to which is more than a crime.
School should be made safe. We need to enforce systems to ensure that they are. If 1000s of atms can be shut down because of lack of security so should 100s of schools who refuse to have norms set to ensure the safety of kids.
This his a horrible and shameful incident. The person guilty for this has to undergo severe punishment by law. Where is the safety of our children now? I have a duaghter and now I am scared as hell about her future.
The CoP must issue stringent advisories to all preschools/playschools to adopt safety norms for the children. This should include background check of all non-teaching staff, and employing trained female attendants through reliable sources/agencies.
This is totally shocking and unacceptable on how the school is washing its hands off the case.Kids seem to trust the ayah or female bus attendant and if this is why happens....then god save us and our children.

This is definitely not correct. When parents send their wards to the School, they do so in complete faith making them the care takers / guardians, replacing the parents. The School authorities have evidently failed in their duties and now if they are not ready to stand up to the heinous crime and punish the accused then they should definitely be dealt with seriously and the best way to get the message straight and strong to all the other Schools also is by closing this School and cancelling the licenses / certificates of the teacher involved and the Principal also as he has deliberately failed in inducing discipline in the School The School pleading ignorance is hilarious, like a father of a girl child announcing publicly he is not concerned if a rape was done to the child as he was not at the scene. The School definitely is completely responsible We teach our children to respect the School and their teachers. If this School is let go without being punished then all the students of this School would come to an understanding that this crime can be committed at will and the school would secure their safety. THE OUTCOME - a group of rapists in the society educated by this School The matter should be dealt seriously, and there are no comments about the accused he should be simply put to death in what-ever means available through law. Even if this is not done I am sure all the parents who are angry about this sinful and atrocious crime would pelt him to death

This is deeply disturbing - ned to do something sustainable. A one time reaction needs to be channelized into tangible steps. Maybe involving parent volunteers, safety screening and training of staff and strict action against callous people for sure
