A horrific incident in one of Bangalore's and perhaps, India's leading school chains has jolted all of us and made us sit bolt upright in shock. A three-year old girl was sexually assaulted by the driver of the van inside the school premises. What's even more chilling is that the 'ayah' of the school handed over the child to the driver. The school seems to have washed its hands off the matter and has even assisted in getting the driver a lawyer.

Some of us citizens--mothers, fathers and children--have decided to present the matter to the Commissioner Of Police, Bangalore, today at 4 pm. We are submitting a petition that will insist that the guilty be brought to book immediately and that safety of children has to be every school's top priority. We are not going to stage a dharna or protest, but just going to hand over a letter that will espouse this cause. Please sign this online petition if you cannot be present at the venue. We need all the support and solidarity we can get.

Thank you.
