We, the concerned citizens of this nation, are deeply alarmed by the rising number of rape cases across the country. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), over 31,000 rape cases were reported in 2023 alone — that's more than 85 cases per day. These are not just statistics; they represent the shattered lives and dignity of countless girls and women.

Despite existing laws such as the POCSO Act, Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, and fast-track courts, justice is often delayed or denied. Many victims face social stigma, police apathy, and lack of proper legal support.

We urge the government to:

1. Strictly enforce existing laws with zero tolerance for delays or negligence.


2. Increase fast-track courts to ensure speedy justice for victims.


3. Set up dedicated helplines and protection cells for immediate support.


4. Mandate self-defense training and awareness programs in schools and colleges.


5. Implement CCTV surveillance and safe public transport systems, especially for girls.
